About the game
The Elder Scrolls Online turns Tamriel into a shared online world of quests, exploration and character building. Players choose an alliance, race and class, then travel between familiar regions and places created for the game's ongoing stories. Many quests can be completed at a personal pace, with voiced characters and branching local stories giving each zone its own identity. Skills from weapons, armor, guilds and class lines can be combined into different builds.
Dungeons, trials, world bosses and group events offer cooperative challenges, while Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds add player-versus-player combat. Crafting, housing, collecting and the in-game economy provide other paths through Tamriel. New chapters extend the world with additional zones and systems, but exploration remains central: a road away from the main quest can lead to a hidden delve, a public dungeon or a story worth following.
